HeatBreak Hotend E3D V6 1.75mm- Thermal Barrier
The HeatBreak Hotend E3D V6 or Thermal Barrier , is the heart of the hotend. Made of steel, at the bottom of the thermal barrier, is where the filament melts.
Manufactured in steel, in the lower part of the thermal barrier, it is where the filament melts.
It is important that the barrier is well calibrated at the factory, to avoid rebounds of the filament.
As for the assembly, always ensure a perfect fit, between the barrier and the nozzle, to avoid spillage of the filament by the Hotend block. We advise the adjustment of the same, always in hot if the Hotend has already been used. Always ensure a good tightness between the barrier and the nozzle.
For the Hotend E3D V6 it is supplied in two options:
- With Teflon, suitable for filaments with melting temperatures below 230 ° C (PLA, Filaflex, etc.)
- Teflon-free, suitable for all materials, especially for filaments with melting temperatures above 230 ° C (mainly ABS)
Both options for M6 and M7 pitch and for 1.75mm filament.
Normally the E3D V6 hotends:
- Direct or “Short” use M6-M6, that is, the metric thread of the heating block is M6 and the metric thread of the neck is M6.
Barrier length: 26mm
- Bowden or “Long” use M6-M7, that is, the metric thread of the heating block is M6 and the metric thread of the neck is M7.
Barrier length: 22mm
