HIPS Black soluble Filament 1 Kg – Devil Design
HIPS Black is the abbreviation of high impact polystyrene and is very similar to ABS. The main difference is that HIPS uses limonene as a solvent. This means that HIPS can be used as a support material that can be easily dissolved by placing the print on limonene.
HIPS does not require scraping, cutting, or any other method of disposal when used as a support, since it is soluble in limonene, so the supports do not cause damage to your printed pieces.
HIPS is as easy as printing with ABS, but it is much less likely to be deformed. HIPS is ideal for printing in conjunction with ABS, as it has a strength and stiffness profile such as ABS which means that they complement each other very efficiently.
It also helps that HIPS and ABS should be printed around the same temperature.
