PLA 2.85mm Extrafill COBALT BLUE Filament – Fillamentum
The PLA 2.85mm Extrafill COBALT BLUE filament 750g of the brand Fillamentum, is a PLA PREMIUM of very high quality.
Fillamentum manufactures all its filaments with very rigorous production and quality processes.
Fillamentum guarantees a high precision in the dimensions of its filaments, within a tolerance of +/- 0.05 mm.,
which is strictly controlled by laser techniques throughout the production.
The PLA EXTRAFILL, filament manufactured specifically for 3D printing technology FFF (also known as FDM).

General characteristics of the PLA
The advantage of this material is that it can be easily used in 3D printers, obtaining a high quality in the printed pieces, even in the difficult details and a very good lamination of the printed object.
PLA (polylactic acid), is a strong and rigid thermoplastic material, which offers a high resistance to deformation.
Of vegetal origin, it is biodegradable in a high percentage, since it is derived from renewable resources, such as corn starch and sugarcane, and for the same reason of its vegetal origin, when merging into the hotend it does not emit harmful emissions for health, emitting a sweet smell.
PLA is the most widely used and popular material for printing on 3D printers, as it is easy to use and requires less extruder temperature (depending on the extruder between 180ºC and 220ºC) than other synthetic filaments, and also needs a relatively low temperature in the heating base.
The PLA 2.85mm Extrafill COBALT BLUE filament allows you to print non-translucent opaque 3D objects.
Plastic filament PLA comes vacuum packed with desiccants, to ensure that the material can be used with its most optimal properties.

Advice on the PLA
Printing advice
Printing with PLA is not necessary to heat the heating base, since the PLA is less prone to deformation during printing and much more “sticky” than ABS, however, with a temperature of 50 ° C, a good impression is guaranteed in all terms.
For a better grip, we recommend lightly spraying the heating base with a layer of lacquer.
Use advice
Since it is a relatively low melting material (it starts to crystallize from 90ºC), it is not advisable to use the pieces printed with PLA, subjecting them to excessively hot environments, since with high direct heat the piece degrades.
Storage
Once the packaging is opened, if not used for a long time, we recommend that it be stored in a hermetic plastic box with a desiccant, to prevent the material from absorbing moisture and thus be able to print the pieces with the maximum guarantee of quality.
